Preparation, uses, and tips

To produce a surface with lots of nooks and crannies, split English muffins with a fork and gently pull them apart. Serve with jam and a little butter, or layer with avocado, sliced tomato, and sprouts.

Buying and storing tips

Buy English muffins in the bread or refrigerated-food section of most natural food and grocery stores. Choose the whole-grain variety whenever possible. Store in a plastic bag at room temperature, and use within a week.
